GDPR Statement

Effective Date: November 29, 2021

The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force from May 25th, 2018. The regulation gives EU citizens more control over their personal data and unifies a number of existing privacy and security laws under one comprehensive law. CMW Lab has been working towards becoming GDPR compliant for our customers in the EU.

At CMW Lab we understand that compliance with a new set of privacy laws can be challenging, and we are here to help with your GDPR compliance initiative by providing you with state of the art GDPR compliant services.

We have updated our products, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance with the GDPR. We had sent out an email blast to all our customers before the regulation came into force, informing them about changes to the terms of service and privacy policy. We mentioned some of the changes we were internally working on in order to be completed before the 25th of May. Today, we are happy to announce that CMW Lab is GDPR compliant. We are also dedicated to helping our customers succeed in complying with GDPR.

Steps CMW Lab is Taking for GDPR Compliance

CMW Lab has implemented a company-wide GDPR compliance strategy. Below are a few examples of initiatives CMW Lab has committed to in order to satisfy GDPR requirements that apply to both our customers and CMW Lab website users:

• Re-organized our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to make them more clear and understandable. This reorganization hasn’t changed your rights as a user, we’ve just made it easier to understand these rights.
• Updated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to give our customers and website users more control over your data and make it more clear how we use your data. All website users, not just those in the EU, have the same data privacy rights.
• When processing personal data regulated under the GDPR, we commit to follow any additional security and privacy measures required under the GDPR.
• Where we have transferred personal data outside of the EU, we are committed to appropriate data transfer mechanisms as required by the GDPR.
• We have ensured that applicable users can access and update their personal data.
• Should a breach occur, we will notify regulators, customers, and users promptly as required by the GDPR.
• CMW Lab employees and contractors have been trained how to handle customer personal data. They are bound to maintain strict confidentiality and security of that data.
